On June 30, 1992, Vietnam and Taiwan signed an agreement to establish the Economic and Cultural Office on both sides. In November of the same year, Taiwan set up the "Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam" in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City. Cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam has grown rapidly.
